Due to tidal fluctuations this box needed a higher
and dryer site. For the changes to the site, begin the corrections at number
5. (Sept 26, 2001)
5. Once you are at the right end of the wetlands you can
only see 3 large light green tanks from your boat. Paddle toward the third
tank to the left. Note 2 chimneys with square metal gratings behind them
on the steam plant. Note telephone pole to the right of the tank.
The box is hidden to the right of the telephone pole on the embankment.
6. Now, to zero in on the box.: as you are paddling from the far
right along the upper edge of wetlands towards the middle you
will see a big hunk of concrete at the foot of the embankment.
It is irregularly shaped and slopes into the water to the right between 2
big clusters of bushes. It is about 4' x 2' and looks like a small
landing.
7. Get out of your boat at the concrete slab, step right about 7
paces working your way about 2-3 feet higher than the concrete slab.
8. Black cylinder is tucked in a hole covered with several rocks
about 2 feet beneath a bush.
P.S. on clue # 2 the correct word should be cement slab, not slap
Thanks Webmasters........Gwen
